This shelter is designed to be used with trekking poles, but an 8 oz / 227 g alternate pole set is also available for non-trekking pole users. It is also possible to suspend the structure from trees or other overhead supports. Is the MoTrail "stuffable"? Yes, it's very easy to remove the 16in aluminum top strut if you want to the stuff the rest of it. Alternately, it's even easier to just fold the fabric in half along the long axis and then on itself in thirds before rolling everything up around the strut. Are there any additional pullout points for extra staking? The MoTrail has attachments for (and ships with) apex guylines to strengthen the ridgeline. It also has hem-edge loops.
