Note: Interiors (mesh or partial solid) are interchangeable and clip in and out from underneath the fly. You may order either interior at a later date, or the “Both” option means that are ordering the fly and two interiors. The partial solid interior (which has half solid half mesh walls and a mesh roof) blocks horizontally blowing wind, sand, snow, and rain; some say it makes the tent up to 5 degrees F warmer. The partial solid interior adds about 1.5 oz (43 g) to listed weight.

Can I use this for winter?

The structure will withstand light to moderate snow loading. Opt for the partial solid interior to increase warmth.

Are there any additional pullout points for extra staking?

Yes, there are addional pullouts on the arch sleeve, perimeter hem, and PitchLoc+ ground level ends.

How many long-wide sleeping pads fit in the Bowfin 2?

At the most, the Bowfin 2 will fit one long/wide sleeping pad (76 in x 25 in / 193 cm x 64 cm) and one regular width pad (72 in x 20 in / 183 cm x 51 cm).

Is the Bowfin 2 suitable for tall folks?

The 102 in / 2.59 m floor makes this tent an attractive solo option for really tall folks. When housing two, the unique shape of the floor may limit height. Take a look at the dimensions diagram (and lay it out on the ground with some string or tape!) to determine if you will fit.

Is the Bowfin 2 freestanding?

Once you assemble the structure of the Bowfin 2, you can pick it up and move it around without disassembling. In order to take advantage of the full floor width, the vestibules must be staked. A rock, water bottle, or boot can be used just as easily as a stake.
